DO YOU STILL REMEMBER YOUR DARLING SENIORS?

HEY darlings :) your senior here! Firstly, congrats on the DIVISION 2ND! Woohoo the jitis looked really cool and we totally owned! And I heard you all have been DRINKING... tsk tsk!! Please don't do foolish things HAHAHAHA, and anyway Debbie Clarisse Sandra I owe you all booze, so please set a date :)

It's been a long time, and I'm really proud to have been part of NYWS, especially at the moment when the final results were announced, I don't think I can ask for anything more. Even though we could not have been part of the team that made this yet another beautiful victory, I believe that we'll all continue growing and achieving and flying and do NYWS proud wherever we may be and in whatever we do.

Anyway, the end of this competition will close yet another chapter in many of our lives and I'm sure this has been a lovely memory and an end to an arduous journey, yet the start of many other exciting events to come :D Treasure your days with NYWS! It the best thing that can happen to anyone and it's a life changing experience :)

Sandra: The days have come, when WE have to know how to prioritise.

So the competition is two days away, yet many of us still seem unprepared both mentally and physically. Some of us slack during trainings or just run off to do less important stuff or worse like skipping training totally. Maybe you all haven't come to realise that in the past we were one of the best wushu teams in the interschool competition. Yes the pressure is on US, each and every one of us plays a part to contribute to the final results.

Our team had always achieved fine results ( why do you think the school is so generous in building us wuguan and ditan?), how could we bear to disappoint our seniors who had worked so hard in the past, most importantly how could we live to regret losing the comps? Picture this, there are only 8 competitions in our entire NYGH life, most of us get to compete in only half the number, that makes 4 chances. Would we want to lose in a competition when such chances are so hard to come by?

Training is as important as keeping yourself safe and mentally prepared for the competition. Please try not to put yourself in any danger and for those who have wounds and injuries, please see the doctor and rest well. As the wushu captain, all I can do is to impart whatever tips I know about the competition, the rest is up to YOU.

Here's a tip: ( correct way ) Before your turn on the carpet, try to relax and take deep breaths to calm your nerves. ( my way, which has worked for me) Delude yourself and think you are the best in the world. [Deb: Actually, you don't have to delude yourself. You ARE the best in the world.] It boosts your confidence and lets you relax and laugh at the others. ( maybe this will help)

Good luck to all of you, we seniors wish you the best. Rest well...
